Andrea Zvikas is a sector veteran and state-registered mediator who has worked for and with Georgia nonprofits for the past 15 years. Since joining GCN in 2017, she has supported and managed projects for organizations in numerous fields and with varying budgets. In all, Andrea has worked with hundreds of nonprofits to optimize their strategy and operations, resulting in more efficient and effective organizations.
In her current role, Andrea works with nonprofits to support their talent and operational needs. Andrea leads GCN’s executive search practice, working with boards and executive teams to identify, recruit, and onboard talent to lead organizations. She also manages special projects, including several cohort programs focusing on equitable capacity building, while supporting board development and strategic planning initiatives for clients.
With a passion for connecting people and organizations to make an impact, Andrea’s career has given her experience working across sectors – nonprofit, for-profit, and government – and with nonprofits in all cause areas. Immediately prior to her role with GCN, Andrea worked for the Georgia Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Unit supporting citizens against egregious and unfair business practices. She also has an insatiable appetite for learning, continually developing her craft, and leading work with impactful outcomes.
Andrea’s formal education began with a dual degree in anthropology/sociology and history from Valdosta State University, and continued with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management, civil mediation training, and an ongoing commitment to the anthropology field. When she is not working with and for the nonprofit sector, she makes functional art from reclaimed materials and enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats.
