Andrea Zvikas is a state-registered mediator and sector veteran who has worked for and with Georgia nonprofits for the past 13 years, most recently through the Georgia Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Unit in a number of investigative and counseling roles. Andrea’s experience working in social enterprises, recruiting donors and volunteers, managing programs and projects, and producing events of all sizes—in professional and volunteer roles—evidence her passion for mastering new skills, connecting people and organizations, and making a positive difference.
Andrea is also passionate about learning, collaboration, and story-sharing: She is proud to have worked in all three sectors – nonprofit, for-profit, and government – and with nonprofits in all cause areas. Andrea’s formal education began with a dual degree in anthropology/sociology and history from Valdosta State University, and continued with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management, civil mediation training, and an ongoing commitment to the anthropology field, including participation in several anthropology conferences. She likes to stay busy serving the sector: In addition to working with GCN’s Nonprofit Consulting Group clients on executive searches, fundraising solutions, succession planning, leadership development, and strategic planning, she also manages a monthly recycling event for Keep Atlanta Beautiful, Inc.
Andrea lives with her husband, two cats, and a revolving cast of foster animals in Atlanta, and enjoys crafting functional art from reclaimed materials.
