In recent years, the American South – including Georgia – has faced unprecedented challenges, ranging from a global pandemic to environmental disasters to heightened political polarization. Philanthropy has responded not only with increased funding, but with new approaches to community investment and civic leadership.
Drawing from Philanthropy Southeast’s new report, Leading with Courage: Reshaping Southern Philanthropy for a New Era, Stephen Sherman will discuss the state of foundation and corporate giving in Georgia, and around the region, exploring the ways that foundations and other philanthropic institutions are adapting to meet the evolving needs of their nonprofit partners and the communities they serve.
This session is for staff and board members of GCN member organizations. Member dues must be current when the session takes place to receive access.
