Overview

Understanding the process of construction projects and having the proper assistance will help your renovation and building projects be more efficient and less frustrating.  Learn how to identify the work to be done and to engage and manage the appropriate trades and professionals to assist you.  Soliciting, analyzing, and negotiating proposals is covered, as well as managing the project to completion.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the process of designing and implementing a successful construction project.
  • Recognize which trades and professionals to engage in your construction project, including when to bring them in to assist you.
  • Solicit, analyze, and negotiate cost proposals for a construction project.
