Overview

What separates high-performing teams from those that struggle isn’t just talent – it’s trust.

In psychologically safe teams, people feel empowered to speak up, share ideas, take risks, and learn from mistakes without fear of blame or judgment. Yet many organizations unknowingly operate in cultures shaped by fear, silence, and over-control – limiting innovation, engagement, and performance.

This highly interactive, 3-hour workshop equips leaders with practical, real-world tools to build a culture of trust and accountability.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define psychological safety and its impact on team performance
  • Distinguish between fear-based and trust-based leadership styles
  • Identify the key behaviors that build – or erode – psychological safety
  • Apply practical strategies to foster open communication, accountability, and inclusion

Key Activities

Participants will engage in:

  • Real-World Scenario Analysis
Explore how leadership behaviors impact team trust, communication, and innovation.
  • Trust Triangle Diagnostics
Pinpoint where trust is breaking down and practice how to rebuild it.
  • Fear-Free Feedback & Conflict Role-Plays
Practice giving and receiving feedback in ways that reduce defensiveness and increase openness.

What Participants Gain

  • Stronger team trust, engagement, and collaboration
  • Increased innovation and willingness to speak up
  • Reduced fear-based behaviors and unproductive conflict
  • Clear tools to lead with emotional intelligence and accountability
  • A practical roadmap to build a high-performing, psychologically safe team
