Overview

Please be sure you have attended the prerequisite Strategies for Eliminating Bias in Nonprofit Organizations prior to registering for this course. Or bundle and save $40 when you register for both classes.

In this course, you’ll discover best practices for establishing and maintaining a culture of inclusion in your organizations. Activities will include: examining case studies of nonprofit organizations currently implementing anti-bias and racism initiatives; group exercises to dissect and address issues of potential bias in the workplace; and action planning to promote an environment of inclusion and safety for both employees and consumers who are, historically, most likely to be on the receiving end of prejudice, discrimination, and exclusion.

Note: Class times are in the Eastern Time zone.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe two best practices for activating and maintaining a culture of inclusion.
  • Implement two best practices to eliminate the potential for bias and promote diversity in the talent recruitment and hiring process.
  • Respond to incidents of bias in the workplace.

Audience

Best for organizational leaders – executives, senior-level HR professionals, and staff – as well as managers/supervisors, especially those overseeing program teams and other units that face and engage with local communities.
