Our mission is to encourage and celebrate creativity one thread at a time. We do that by cultivating a vibrant textile arts community while celebrating, supporting, and perpetuating textile art forms from applique to weaving and everything in between.

SEFAA serves everyone with an interest in fiber arts – professional and amateur artists, hobbyists, instructors and educators, students, organizations, schools, collectors, businesses, suppliers, patrons, and the public. And rather than being discipline-specific like a knitting guild, we cover the full range of fiber techniques, supporting and connecting our region’s entire fiber arts community. In a nutshell, we exist to be the textile resource for the Southeast and we thrive by empowering our community to reach their creative potential.
