About Brandi
Dr. Brandi B. Kenner, Senior Consultant, is a nonprofit and organizational development guru, as well as an educator, researcher, and cognitive developmental psychologist. With over two decades of combined experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors – including early learning, K-12, and higher education – she has amassed keen expertise in strategic planning, governance practices, organizational development, and capacity building.
Dr. Kenner supports clients in ensuring their mission, vision, and values are aligned with policies, practices, programming, systems, and rituals. Accordingly, she provides sustainable solutions for institutional “blueprinting” while also supporting specific areas of need, such as program design and evaluation, research, and revenue strategies.
In her robust career, Dr. Kenner has been a founder & CEO (Choice-filled Lives Network, a national consulting and R&D organization serving mission-based organizations); Director of Research/Senior Advisor at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative; Chief of Research, Innovation and Learning at the Atlanta Speech School; and more. In addition, Dr. Kenner has helped found several schools and educational programs; trained in Theory of Change methodology, school governance, and all facets of nonprofit leadership and management; and received a number sector awards. Brandi received her BS in elementary education and sociology from The University of Michigan, a Master of Education in Behavior and Learning Disabilities from Georgia State University, and a Ph.D. in Cognitive and Developmental Psychology from Emory University.
Brandi lives in Sandy Springs with her bustling blended family of 6 children, fondly referred to as the “Brandi Bunch,” and their loving Pomeranian, Kirby.
