Overview

Organizations receiving funding are more likely to secure future gifts if they demonstrate program effectiveness. With limited resources, funders require more fiscal transparency and accountability as evidence of their return on investment. That’s why you need to build the skills to monitor programs and evaluate them.

This series builds monitoring and evaluative capacity so organizations can demonstrate program metrics and lasting impact – leading not only to stronger outcomes but more funding opportunities as well. By the end of this four-part series, participants will have the critical skillset necessary to design and implement monitoring and evaluation systems, make a compelling case for program funding, produce data-backed reports, and present them to community stakeholders.

Key Concepts

  • Foundational knowledge of research methods and evaluation design.
  • Improving service delivery by developing logic models to monitor and evaluate project outcomes.
  • Leading an assessment of monitoring plans and designing evaluation tools that identify the rationale for collecting essential program data for analysis.
  • Examining program outcomes and developing formative and summative reports to share with community stakeholders.

Audience

Mid-career and experienced program managers, including executive leadership, and those responsible for implementing the project activities that will be evaluated.
