Overview

This course provides an overview of the primary financial statements: Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Activities, Statement of Functional Expenses, and Statement of Cash Flow. Learn how the statements interrelate and how your operational decisions impact them, how to make cost allocations to programs, and how to produce the most informative combination of reports for the management team and board.

This class was formerly numbered as ACCT 210. It has been changed to better reflect the content level and intended audience.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:
  • Explain key decisions and tasks necessary to create useful financial statements.
  • Identify the key components of the four basic financial statements: Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Activities, Statement of Functional Expenses, and Statement of Cash Flow.
