About Deborah
Driven by intellectual curiosity and a readiness to embrace change, Deborah Cox’s 35+ year career has taken diverse and dynamic paths. With a strong foundation in finance and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation, she has helped both nonprofits and technology companies build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, market research firms, and business and trade media. Deborah’s projects reflect a passion for strategic execution, a commitment to transforming ideas into results, and a belief in equipping organizations with tools to foster meaningful relationships.
From 2018 to 2022, Deborah served as Vice President of Castell Project, a nonprofit committed to advancing women in the hospitality industry. Following Castell’s merger with the AHLA Foundation in 2022, she continued as a Senior Consultant for two years, leading efforts to transition, integrate, and evolve operational processes.
Holding global roles in both emerging-growth and established enterprise software firms, she has managed cross-functional business processes to harness the power of market influencers. To deepen her understanding of relationships and interpersonal communication, Deborah earned an M.S. in Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University in 2011. Since 2009, Deborah has led Interacting Dynamics, a contract consulting firm dedicated to helping businesses establish clear pathways to execution. She is also a facilitator for a refugee resettlement team at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, where she serves on the Vestry.
