About Jim
Jim Williams-Neal is GCN’s Director of Consulting. He is an experienced nonprofit consultant and executive with expertise in strategy development and the art of linking strategy to operations. Over a 25-year career, Jim has worked extensively in strategic planning, strategy execution, business planning and budgeting, organization assessment and alignment, and performance improvement. He is an experienced facilitator of board-level strategy for both public sector agencies and nonprofit organizations.
In addition to his consulting experience, Jim spent five years as director of operations for Friends of Refugees, a nonprofit serving 3,000 refugees and immigrants annually. He has also served nonprofits as a board member, board treasurer, and board chair. Jim holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business, where he was a Shermet Scholar.
