FND 252 | Planning and Designing Digital Campaigns

Learn how to uncover and develop the story behind your fundraising goal in order to inspire your community to give, and find out how and when to deliver your messages to ensure the greatest impact. Participants will create a detailed game plan for their digital fundraising campaign, including a calendar for integrated digital communications across multiple channels, and the foundational copy – the Goal, the Why, and the Ask – for your campaign.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the components of a digital fundraising campaign plan.
  • Define the Goal, the Why, and the Ask of a campaign.
  • Create a digital fundraising campaign plan.

Fee Freeman is the Founder and Principal Consultant at Fee Freeman Consulting, where she helps nonprofits to develop ethical and engaging digital storytelling strategies and campaigns that raise money, build community, and inspire people to action online. Fee is a bold and creative strategist and storyteller with a decade of experience in nonprofits and political communication, working specifically with refugees, immigrants, young people with disabilities, and other vulnerable populations. She has secured media coverage for nonprofits in top outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and CNN, and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars from individuals through online fundraising campaigns. For the last four years, Fee has managed communications, advocacy, and digital fundraising for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Atlanta and served as the Communications Chair of the Coalition of Refugee Service Agencies (CRSA). Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, Fee first came to the U.S. in 2007 when she was selected as a Georgia Rotary Student Program scholarship recipient, and spent a year studying at Georgia Southern University. She went on to earn a BA in Journalism with a Minor in Human Rights from the University of Roehampton in London and a MA in Political Communication from the University of Leeds. Fee was honored to be included in the Green Party of England and Wales ’30 under 30’ Class of 2012, the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network - Atlanta Chapter ’30 under 30’ Class of 2018, and the Georgia Center for Nonprofits High Potential Diverse Leaders Class of 2017.
