Member Event Series | Breakfast Bites | Advocacy and Social Change

Social change is “any significant alteration over time in behavior patterns and cultural values and norms. By ‘significant’ alteration, sociologists mean changes yielding profound social consequences.”  What does it mean in your organization? How do you make social change happen? What profound social changes are happening around us?  BoardSource and other national nonprofits are worried that advocacy among nonprofits is declining.  Many feel our boards can limit our advocacy efforts through misunderstanding what the law and IRS allow nonprofits to do and not do as advocates.
Join us for Breakfast Bites for a lively discussion on Advocacy and Social Change.  Come prepared to share, learn, and listen to the latest on Advocacy in our sector

Learning Objectives:

Explore social change models and how to make them work for your organization.
Learn what you can and cannot do as a 501(c)3 organization.
