Board Bites are one-hour workshops covering nonprofit board governance issues, designed for board members and key staff who work consistently with the board of directors. Covering a different topic every month, sessions begin by focusing on board roles and responsibilities before taking a deeper dive into one or more related issues through a facilitated discussion.
This month, we'll cover how be more successful at recruiting and welcoming new board members. Discover practices that work, tools that help attract the best candidates, skill grids for identifying needs, ways to ensure diversity and representation that reflects your community, and how to work with a governing committee to run the process. Recruitment is one of the most important functions of the board.
Bring your questions, comments, and ideas, and be ready to share and learn from each other. These sessions are free for GCN member organizations.
