Overview

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are one of the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicles, offering donors flexibility, tax advantages, and strategic philanthropy. As the landscape of charitable funding in the U.S. continues to change, understanding and utilizing DAFs is key to nonprofit resiliency.

In this session, we’ll explore how individuals, families, and organizations can leverage DAFs to maximize charitable impact. We will discuss best practices when dealing with DAFs and ways DAFs can open access to more of a donor’s wealth and assets both during their lifetimes and beyond. To provide a comprehensive understanding of the DAF landscape, we will also discuss key considerations your donors may have, including best practices for funding DAFs, issuing grants, navigating IRS regulations, and aligning DAFs with philanthropic goals.

Audience

This session is for leaders and staff of GCN member organizations. Member dues must be current when the session takes place to receive access.
