Overview

Serving on a nonprofit board can be demanding in terms of both time and resources. In this session, we’ll look at the factors that can contribute to board member disengagement and identify strategies that can help ensure everyone on your board stays connected and attentive to your mission. We will also cover best practices for sharing the information and materials that board members need to achieve a successful tenure with your organization.

An engaged board is one that is well equipped to meet their fundraising goals; that regularly attends meetings and events; and that has a solid succession plan accounting for the organization’s strategic needs. If your board is struggling with any (or all) of these factors, we invite you to join us for this session!

Audience

This session is for board members and staff of GCN member organizations. Member dues must be current when the session takes place to receive access.
