Are you ready to transform the way you approach conflict in the workplace? Join us for an immersive training experience designed to redefine your relationship with conflict and equip you with the essential emotional intelligence competencies to successfully navigate challenging situations.

In this dynamic course, part of our 4-part series on navigating conflict, you will expand your mindset, shift your attitude, and develop critical skills to face difficult people, situations and conversations – head-on. We will guide you through a comprehensive journey that will empower you to view conflict as an opportunity for growth and collaboration rather than a war zone.

Key Concepts

  • Social and emotional intelligence, including personal power, intentionality, building bonds, and conflict management
  • Conflict dynamics
  • Conflict resolution styles
  • Strategies to prepare for and conduct crucial conversations

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Overcome fear and anxiety associated with disagreements and misunderstandings.
  • Understand the 6 stages and 3 types of conflict to gain a deeper understanding of conflict dynamics.
  • Explore conflict resolution styles – including accommodator, avoider, competitor, compromiser, and collaborator – to identify your preferred approach and understand its characteristics.
  • Prepare for crucial conversations by clarifying the root cause of the conflict; identifying desired outcomes; investigating facts, frequency, and frustrated relationships; and deciding whether to engage in the conversation.
  • Develop strategies to weigh the importance of the situation, consider potential consequences, check your motives, empathize with the other person’s point of view, and set a positive intent.
  • Deploy the art of outlining talking points and scheduling conversations, considering timeliness, regularity, and the optimal timing and environment for effective communication.

Audience

This course is ideal for professionals at all levels who want to enhance their conflict management skills and build better relationships in the workplace.
