Our list of May grant and resource opportunities for you to consider this month includes opportunities that fund education, community, and environmental initiatives.

GRANTS

Crayola
Creative Leadership Grants 2016
Deadline: June 20, 2016
Elementary and middle schools are invited to apply for a grant from Crayola to build the school's creative capacity through innovative, creative leadership team building. Up to 20 schools will receive $2,500 and Crayola products valued at $1,000.

CSX
CSX Beyond Our Rails Grant
Deadline: Ongoing
CSX provides non-profit assistance and support through a variety of programs, including grants that typically range from $2,500 to $5,000 for projects focusing on safety, community, wellness, and/or the environment. CSX considers grant, sponsorship, volunteer, transportation and in-kind requests from organizations that have been approved by the IRS as 501c3 charities. Government institutions, such as fire departments and schools allowed under Internal Revenue Code 170(c), are also eligible.

Community Foundation of Central Georgia 
Nonprofit Grant Program Enhancing Central Georgia 
Deadline: June 30, 2016
The Community Foundation of Central Georgia aims to further the ability of community-based charitable organizations to meet the needs of the residents of this region. Through its Nonprofit Grant Program, CFCG will consider applications for projects designed to improve the quality of life in central Georgia. 

The Mazda Foundation
Grant Program
Deadline: July 1, 2016
The Mazda Foundation awards grants to programs promoting education and literacy, environmental conservation, cross-cultural understanding, social welfare and scientific research. 

The Callaway Foundation
Grant Program
Deadline: June 30, 2016

Grants are usually made for the benefit of projects and people in LaGrange and Troup County, Georgia. Preference is given to enduring construction projects and capital equipment. Challenge grants may be of special interest to the Foundation.
