This month, we feature a trio of upcoming grant opportunities from The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, a resource opportunity from the Georgia State University School of Social Work, and an opportunity to share your stories for cash prizes with TechSoup.

Georgia State University - School of Social Work
Community Projects
Deadline: September 20, 2014
GSU School of Social Work requests proposals from Atlanta area agencies/organizations/nonprofits to have second year Masters students work with them on a community project. Projects involve groups of 4-5 students that partner with an agency to plan, implement, and evaluate a community project. Projects will be selected and conceptualized this fall. Implementation of projects will be January to April 2015.

Storymakers
Submissions open: August 26 - September 30
There's a new storytelling campaign - Storymakers 2014 - from TechSoup that launches August 26, 2014. Submit your social good story to TechSoup Storymakers during the month of September for a chance to win up to $13,000 in prizes, have your video showcased across the TechSoup global network. $13,000 in prizes available.

Deadline: August 29, 2014
Grants are available for application to nonprofits serving one of the following counties: Burke, Columbia, McDuffie, Richmond (in Georgia); Aiken, Edgefield (in South Carolina.)

Atlanta AIDS Fund
Letter of intent deadline: Noon, August 29
AIDS Fund grantmaking in 2014 will focus on providing general operating support to strengthen an HIV/AIDS advocacy, prevention education and service organization as it pursues its mission, with the goal of achieving further stability and sustainability for core programs and services. The AIDS Fund will also focus on restricted operating support focused on advocacy and policy, awareness/education/prevention, testing and treatment and care.

2014 TrueBlue Community Awards
Deadline: August 31, 2014
The TrueBlue Community Awards is an annual program funded by Georgia Natural Gas which honors outstanding Georgia-based nonprofits which share the company’s focus on Children/Education, Seniors, Energy Assistance, and Environment/Sustainability. A total of  $50,000 will be awarded ranging from $2,500—$10,000.

Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta
Neighborhood Fund
Deadline: September 4, 2014
Neighborhood Fund provides resources to community groups (non-501(c)3) seeking to impact their community at the local level. Since 1991, more than 300 neighborhood projects have received an estimated $2,000,000 in grants and technical assistance to support community organizing, neighborhood gardens, youth fitness activities, cultural events and more.

Strategic Restructuring Fund
Deadline: Noon, September 19
The purpose of the Strategic Restructuring Fund is to provide funds and/or management consulting services to support nonprofits as they assess, negotiate, design and/or implement substantive strategic restructuring efforts that seek to promote more effective operations and high-performing programs based on community needs and assets.
