Greenspring Grant Program

Greenspring grants provide organizations in Georgia with grant funds of up to $10,000 to support the general operations of an organization or a specific program or initiative. Applications are currently being accepted through June 13, 2016 and are typically awarded on an annual basis in August.
The Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area
Unrestricted Grants Program
Deadline: June 1, 2016
Unrestricted gifts from donors to The Community Foundation are distributed through the annual Unrestricted Grants Program, a competitive process designed to help nonprofit organizations meet changing needs in the CSRA Region. Following an evaluation process, The Community Foundation awards grants based on identified community issues and the relative merit of the proposals received.
Walmart Foundation National Giving Program Grants
Through its National Giving Program, the Walmart Foundation awards grants of $250,000 and above to nonprofit organizations that operate on a national scope through chapters/affiliates in many states around the country or through programs that operate regionally/locally but seek funding to scale program activities nationally. Areas of focus for the Foundation include: Hunger Relief, Healthy Eating, Sustainability, Women's Economic Empowerment, and Career Opportunity.
Deadline: Ongoing, board meets in May and November
The Goizueta Foundation supports efforts within metropolitan Atlanta including institutional strengthening, organizational and program development or expansion and organizational and project planning. Proposals are considered at the May and November board meetings.
James M. Cox Foundation
Deadline: June 15
The James M. Cox Foundation provides philanthropic support for not-for-profit organizations in communities where Cox Enterprises, Inc. does business. The Foundation is concentrating its community support in several priority areas including Conservation and Environment, Early Childhood Education (birth to five years), Empowering Families and Individuals for Success and Health. Grant applications are accepted throughout the year and are considered at the next scheduled Trustee meeting.The deadlines for receipt of applications before each meeting are February 15th, June 15th, and October 15th by midnight.
