Building Momentum for Atlanta's Historic Westside Communities

Westside Momentum will help nonprofits to increase their impact and build sustainable business practices by improving their capacity for strategic thought and action; it will also help them function more effectively as a leadership team, through a proven mix of learning sessions, peer sharing, and individual coaching developed and presented by GCN’s Nonprofit Consulting Group.

“When nonprofits are strong, strategic, and sustainable, their impact on the issues and causes important to communities are greater. We’re excited to offer Momentum to the organizations and leaders working to make the Westside a great place to live, work, and play,” said GCN’s Karen Beavor, who appeared in an 11 Alive interview (above) alongside Frank Fernandez, Blank Foundation’s VP of Community Development.

Westside Momentum will be the first time GCN’s Momentum process will be offered in Metro Atlanta. It was piloted in 2011 in four counties on Georgia’s southern coast to great success, and is currently being offered to four cohorts of arts organizations in Albany, Augusta, Macon, and Savannah. Learn more, and see interviews from 11Alive and WSB, on our webpage.
