Want more visibility for your organization on GA Gives Day 2014? We can help!

Our Georgia Gives Day campaign is at its best when we are able to showcase you, our participating nonprofits. After talking with our media partners and social media experts, we’ve found four major ways that your organizations can help GA Gives Day (and your own nonprofit) receive more visibility this year.

Read through the options below and brainstorm with your team about the best ways you can participate. Our priority deadline is November 3. We’ll continue to accept ideas and visuals after this date, but will be able to give most attention to what receive on or before 11/3. Have fun! And be creative!

Plan a fun and unique GA Gives Day event!

Create buzz for your organization by planning an event on November 13! Our media partners have requested a list of events taking place to celebrate GA Gives Day, and we’d like to send them your way. If you are planning an event, send the details to [email protected] so we can add it to our list!

Take a GA Gives Day themed picture or short video.

We want to see your organization’s creativity! Take a photo or short video with the GA Gives Day logo or a call to action, and show off your organization’s people, pets, volunteers or a local landmark. We want to see the GGD logo all over the state! We’ll be sharing on our social media, and providing to our media partners’ social media as well. Post on any social media site using #GAgivesday or send to [email protected]! Be creative!

What does GA Gives Day mean to your nonprofit?

We want to know how GA Gives Day donor support has helped your organization in the past, and what it could mean for you this year. If you used your funds (or plan to) for a specific project, tell us about it! If you used your GA Gives donations last year for a specific purpose, let us know what you did! What would you do if you met your 2014 goal? Email us at [email protected]. We would love to highlight your impact.

Ask your supporters to take “unselfies” on your organization’s behalf!

You may have heard about our “unselfie” contest that could win extra money for your organization on GA Gives Day. Ask your supporters to participate from their own social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Be sure they use the hashtags #unselfie and #GAgivesday. We’ll be sharing these and asking our followers to vote on their favorites beginning November 10! But be creative—only the top pictures will make the final!
